A hearty "thank you" to all those who participated in the
Gilbertsville Village Improvement Clean-Up Day. If you don’t know much about
this group, they are community members who care about our village and its historical
beauty.
Greg Watson the President and Coordinator of the Gilbertsville Village Improvement
Society organized this day of the clean-up, deserves special thanks for his
outstanding work in running the clean-up effort. This group
works so hard keeping our village looking and feeling safe and beautiful.
The Clean-up is an important event for Gilbertsville,
especially because it keeps our local landmarks beautiful and clean through
their community service. The Village of Gilbertsville is very grateful to the Improvement
Society for their participation—together, they made a tangible improvement for
our Village.

Village businesses are lucky to have this kind of support from the VIS. I don't know of other villages that benefit from such support.
ReplyDeleteA group of us also were at the Overlook Park weeding and clearing out branches, etc. Be sure to wander over there sometime and use the park. There are benches, quaint street lamps, and plenty of lawn for a picnic!
