FLAG DAY CELEBRATION

Flag Day!! I was honored today on June 14th to witness Gilbertsville's Flag Burning Ceremony at the monument in the center of the village.  American Legion Post 1339 assisted by Boy Scout Troop 44 conducted a formal ceremony to properly dispose of flags that are no longer in condition to be displayed.  What a wonderful and patriotic event.  Thank you so much for the invitation to observe.  I'm very proud to be a part of Gilbertsville!!
